Mortgage Contracting Services Celebrates First Anniversary of Ruston, La., Operations Center

PLANO, Texas and RUSTON, La., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mortgage Contracting Services is celebrating the first anniversary of its 10,300-square-foot facility in Ruston, Louisiana. The operations center has already added 70 new jobs to the area — well ahead of its anticipated creation of 90 jobs in five years.

The facility, which currently accommodates up to 90 employees with the ability to expand to hold 180 employees, opened in September 2012 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and officials from Louisiana Economic Development, the City of Ruston, Louisiana Tech University and Grambling State University.

"We knew Ruston was the right place to open our third facility, and that decision has been confirmed every day we've been here," says MCS CEO Caroline Reaves. "Ruston and Louisiana officials have welcomed us with open arms, and we've been able to hire the workers we need to service our clients."

Ruston was chosen as the site for MCS' most recent operations center because the city is home to Louisiana Tech University and is a 10-minute drive from Grambling, Louisiana, home to Grambling State University. Those communities provide a flexible workforce looking for evening and weekend hours, which fits perfectly with MCS' desire to provide after-hours support to its clients and vendors across the country, says Ken Scheller, MCS' vice president of operations, who oversees the Ruston facility.
