Mountain West Financial, a full service privately held mortgage banker, chose Hyland Software's enterprise content management (ECM) solution through partner DocuSource. The lender will use the solution to promote better service by streamlining processes in lending procedures.
This is second time Hyland can call Mountain West a customer. As the economy declined, Mountain West opted to move to a solution that promised the same efficiencies at a lower price. Because the solution wasn't flexible and was too complex for users, the lender returned to Hyland.
"When we left Hyland we quickly learned that the FileBound solution wasn't as robust and didn't have the functionality we saw in OnBase. It was clear that we needed to return to Hyland," said Susan Hartsock, business analyst at Mountain West. Mountain West began its OnBase implementation in the post-close and accounting departments. The lender has already duplicated existing paper processes with OnBase workflows to automate investor delivery. It plans to continue to expand its workflows with the goal of becoming completely paperless within the next five months.
