MSC Care Management Appoints New Western Region Catastrophic Specialist

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- MSC Care Management, a national leader in the delivery of medical products and services to the Workers' Compensation industry, has appointed Jonni Applefield, RN, MSN, FNP, CPDM, CCM, Western Regional Catastrophic Specialist.  This new position further enhances the MSC offering in Catastrophic Care by providing a clinical expert as a resource in the Western U.S.  "MSC's industry leading Catastrophic and Home Health team has more Registered Nurses coordinating care than anyone in the industry. Jonni is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. She attained her Masters in Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner Degree at the University of San Diego.  She brings over 40 years of nursing experience which includes Emergency Room, ICU, Psychology, Addiction Medicine, and Physical Rehabilitation.  Most recently in her role as a Clinical Evaluator for Rehab Hospitals, she evaluated patients for appropriate level of care for optimal recovery.  Jonni brings 15 years of clinical and administrative experience in Case Management and Utilization Review as the Director of Case Management for Rehab West.  She has expertise in Catastrophic Care including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and chronic pain.

Jonni is a Certified Professional in Disability Management and a Certified Case Manager.  She is active in local and national Case Management organizations.
