MSIG USA Adds Seasoned Legal Executive, Erika Shalette, as General Counsel

NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- MSIG USA today announced the appointment of Erika Shalette as general counsel, bringing nearly 25 years of legal experience, including extensive insurance industry experience, to the role. She will report to Kent Ziegler, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of MSIG USA.

Shalette most recently served as executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary at Amynta Group, where she oversaw all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters worldwide, while advising the executive team and board of directors on corporate governance, compliance, and strategic transactions.

Her earlier career includes senior legal positions at Chubb and AIG, where she managed complex mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and related global regulatory processes, as well as senior counsel roles at Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. A graduate of Harvard University and New York University School of Law, Shalette has deep expertise in M&A, corporate governance, compliance, litigation, and commercial transactions, with a proven record of aligning legal strategy to business objectives.
