MTE invests in Wisconsin headquarters and expands Mexico operations
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., July 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MTE Corporation, a division of SL Industries (NYSE MKT: SLI), and a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-efficiency electrical power quality solutions for commercial and industrial applications, has announced significant investments in its Wisconsin-based headquarters and Mexico facilities.
MTE was started nearly 35 years ago in Milwaukee, WI and has been headquartered for the past 2 decades in the Milwaukee suburb of Menomonee Falls. MTE recently reaffirmed its commitment to its Menomonee Falls location by extending its lease through 2020, increasing its capacity by over 20%, and investing over $500,000 in improvements at this site. In addition to being MTE's global center for technical expertise, this location is also one of two plants for MTE, giving MTE dual manufacturing capabilities to serve customers globally.
MTE's Mexicali, Mexico plant has been operating since 2008 manufacturing MTE's Reactors, DC Link Chokes, dV Sentry™ and SineWave Guardian™ motor protection filters. In order to better support the continued growth of the market leading Matrix® AP harmonic filter, MTE is making significant investments in capital equipment and operations support teams at this site.
