Music Industry's First-Ever Certified AI Producer Model Debuts with MGT's Artist-Led Commercial Releases

Developed by tech and music industry veterans, the framework sets a new standard for ethical AI co-creation in songwriting.

This pivotal moment for both music and tech highlights how responsible AI usage in pre-production — led by a certified AI music producer — can elevate songwriters and recording artists through ethically grounded, artist-led studio collaboration.

The announcement comes amid growing debate about AI's role in music, with recent headlines spotlighting AI-generated artists and avatar-led performances. Rather than replacing artists, MGT introduces a new model of AI governance — one in which certified, studio-approved AI music prompters collaborate directly with recording artists in human-led, creative sessions. This approach bridges lyricists and certified AI collaborators, giving professional songwriters access to trusted tools in a responsible, studio-grade environment.

MGT previously made history as the first company to sign AI music prompters as professional creators, and quickly began collaborating with prominent names in the music industry. That has resulted in two original pop singles featuring Norwegian vocalist Mathea-Mari: "Tired of Fixing a Broken Heart" and "Crush."

Known for reaching the finals of Norway's Got Talent at age 12 and winning Melodi Grand Prix Junior (Norway's Eurovision Jr.) at 14, Mathea-Mari later trained at the Lillehammer Institute of Music Production and Industries (LIMPI), a prestigious academy co-founded by leading music professionals.

Collaborating on "Tired of Fixing a Broken Heart" is award-winning artist and songwriter Christian Burns, best known for global hits like BBMak's "Back Here" and Tiësto's "In the Dark."

Mathea-Mari's "Crush" transforms a 2003 rock track by SomeOtherLife into a hook-driven pop anthem. The original version was co-written by Luis Rexach and Sean Stever, and produced by acclaimed music producer Rick Beato. The 2025 re-release marks a full-circle moment for Alvers and longtime collaborator Rexach. In 2003, Alvers managed and showcased Rexach at the Florida Music Festival on a lineup that also featured a then-unknown Taylor Swift, very early in her career.
