MUV Doubles Down on Life Sciences, Completes Sale of Its Meetings & Events Division to miMeetings
After 25 years moving people for corporations, events and clinical research, MUV becomes a single-focus company: moving the people who bring new therapies to patients, with clinical trial patient transportation at its core and a network of certified patient drivers in more than 40 countries.
DALLAS, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MUV today announced it has completed the sale of its Meetings & Events division to miMeetings, the technology-forward event ground transportation company. The transaction allows MUV to concentrate entirely on life sciences: the transportation and logistics that keep clinical trials moving, and that get patients to the visits their treatment depends on.
The decision was a deliberate one. Both businesses were healthy and growing, and each had reached the point where its next chapter called for a different kind of investment: a global supplier marketplace and event technology on one side, certified patient drivers and dedicated vehicles on the other. Placing each business inside a company built entirely around its clients serves both better than one company serving two.
The Meetings & Events team, client programs and supplier relationships join miMeetings. For clients, nothing changes today: every current program, contract and point of contact continues as planned, and existing booking and service workflows stay in place through the integration period. MUV's leadership will remain closely involved in the transition.
"I want to start with a thank you," said Mark Shrayber, Co-Founder and Chairman of MUV. "For twenty-five years, planners, agencies and corporate event teams trusted us with the moments that mattered most to them, and our team made it look easy when it never was. This was a choice we made from a position of strength. Evan Michaels, miMeetings' CEO, and I have known each other for twenty years, and his team has the technology and the ambition to take event ground further than either of us could alone. Our clients are in good hands."
Why life sciences
Clinical trials run on a simple, fragile dependency: the patient has to get to the site. Every missed visit costs a study time and data. MUV has quietly served this corner of healthcare for years, completing more than 90,000 patient and investigator trips across Phase I through Phase IV studies in more than 40 countries, working alongside the patient service companies that coordinate travel and support for trial participants, and the sponsors, CROs and research sites they serve.
From the investigator meeting that launches a study, to the patient visits that complete it, and the speaker programs that follow approval, MUV moves the people who bring new therapies to patients. The center of that work, and the largest part of it, is getting trial patients to the care they have agreed to receive.
"Our North Star is simple: help patients get to their care," Shrayber said. "We decided to be six inches wide and a mile deep. A patient in a trial is not a passenger. They may be anxious, in pain, or recovering from a treatment that morning. The certified patient driver who meets them at the door needs to understand that, and so does the team that coordinated every step of getting them there. That is the company we are building."
What MUV is building
Certified patient drivers. MUV is expanding its network of drivers trained and credentialed for clinical trial work: study-aligned patient handling, mobility assistance, smooth hand-offs to site nurses, discretion around sensitive visits, and the right vehicle for each patient. The network is being deployed first in the highest-density trial markets in the United States and Europe.
A platform built around the people doing the work. MUV's proprietary operating platform matches each trip to the right driver and vehicle, catches problems early enough to fix them, reduces no-shows, and gives coordinators real-time visibility with audit-ready billing. The paperwork runs in the background, which leaves MUV's people free to pay attention to the person in the car.
The partners MUV serves. MUV works first and foremost with patient service companies, the organizations that coordinate travel, reimbursement and support for trial participants, and through them with pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors, CROs, research sites and decentralized trial providers. Existing partnerships and integrations stay as they are.
What comes next
In the months ahead, MUV will introduce a brand identity that reflects its life sciences focus, along with published certification standards for its drivers. Organizations interested in working with MUV can reach the team at info@muvpeople.com.
"The event business gave us twenty-five years of operational muscle," Shrayber added. "We are putting all of it behind patients now."
