CAMARILLO, Calif., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nature's Generator has launched MyGrid 10K Gen 2, a whole-home energy system designed to provide backup power while helping homeowners manage everyday electricity costs.
Unlike backup systems that sit idle until an outage, MyGrid 10K Gen 2 is designed for year-round use. Homeowners can store solar energy or electricity purchased during lower-cost periods and use that stored energy when utility rates are higher. Depending on electricity rates, energy use and system settings, Nature's Generator says the system can help homeowners save on electricity costs.
"We wanted MyGrid 10K Gen 2 to be useful every day, not just when the power goes out," said Lawrence Zhou, CEO of Nature's Generator. "It gives homeowners a simple way to use stored energy, save on electricity when rates are higher, and still have reliable backup power when they need it."
Built for energy savings and whole-home backup
MyGrid 10K Gen 2 delivers 10,000W of continuous output, up to 20,000W of peak output and 10,496Wh of LiFePO4 battery storage. Its storage capacity can be expanded as household energy needs grow, giving homeowners more flexibility as their electricity demands change.
The system supports solar, wind and AC charging, giving homeowners multiple ways to replenish stored energy. With compatible configurations, it can also support AC coupling, allowing existing solar systems to work with the battery system and helping homeowners make greater use of renewable energy.
For energy savings, homeowners can use stored electricity during higher-rate periods instead of relying entirely on grid power. This can be especially useful for households with time-of-use electricity plans, where electricity costs can vary depending on when energy is consumed.
Backup power when the grid goes down
MyGrid 10K Gen 2 is also built for high-demand residential backup. Its automatic transfer capability can switch compatible loads to backup power in less than 20 milliseconds when grid electricity is interrupted, helping keep essential household equipment running with minimal interruption.
The system also supports 120V/240V split-phase output for residential applications and can recharge to 80% in approximately two hours under supported charging conditions. These capabilities make it suitable for homeowners looking for both backup capacity and faster battery recovery.
With expandable storage, renewable charging options and whole-home output, MyGrid 10K Gen 2 is designed to provide both everyday energy management and emergency power in one system.
"Homeowners want backup power they can count on, especially when they're running multiple appliances or essential equipment," said Armando Rosales, Head of Sales at Nature's Generator. "MyGrid 10K Gen 2 gives them the power, fast switchover and expandable storage to handle everyday energy needs and be ready as well when an outage happens."
Designed to grow with the home
MyGrid 10K Gen 2 can expand beyond its standard 10,496Wh capacity, with compatible configurations supporting more than 73kWh of total storage. Two compatible units can also provide up to 20,000W of output.
This gives homeowners the flexibility to increase storage as their electricity consumption, solar generation or backup requirements change.
