Mynd.ai's Promethean Brand Launches On-Device AI Companion to Help Teachers Create Lesson Content in Seconds

("Mynd") (NYSE American: MYND) today announced that its subsidiary, Promethean®, a leading provider of educational technology solutions, has launched an AI Companion for its Explore Everything® app – using on-device artificial intelligence enabled by opting in to Apple Intelligence™ to help educators turn existing classroom content into tailored teaching materials in seconds.

Available now on compatible Apple devices, AI Companion allows educators to select any element on an Explain Everything page – including text, an image or a drawing – and generate content that fits naturally into their lesson.

From lesson plans, quizzes and vocabulary lists to suggested next steps and activities that deepen understanding, teachers can create additional materials without moving between platforms or interrupting their workflow. Generated content is placed directly within the Explain Everything canvas, where it can be adapted and incorporated into the lesson.

AI Companion can also create audio narrations, translate text for learners whose first language is not English and generate accessibility descriptions, helping educators respond to different needs without relying on additional tools.

AI Companion works entirely on the user's device, without an internet connection and ensuring that the data never leaves the device. Teachers can therefore use it wherever they work, while schools avoid the additional privacy administration associated with third-party processing.

Explain Everything, Promethean's award-winning lesson creation and delivery software, has been recognised by Apple as an App Store Editors' Choice and downloaded more than 25 million times worldwide. The platform brings content creation, presentation, recording and collaboration together on an infinite canvas. AI Companion joins intelligent tools including Image Playground™, Isolate Subject, Recognize Drawings and Scan Text, supporting image generation, subject isolation, drawing recognition and the digitisation of handwritten notes.
