MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lee Rawcliffe, CEO of Myrtle Beach's Sands Resorts announced today the inclusion of free admission to its new Diamondback Adventure Camp. He stated 2011 vacation lodging rates will remain the same, but would now include free admission to the family vacation camp located adjacent to and within its Diamondback Golf Course, set in natural forest and wetlands.
The camp features horseback riding, archery, shooting, climbing walls, a zip line, and fly fishing among other activities. All activities are counselor supervised and include instructions from experienced staff. Golf instruction, driving range practice and full rounds of golf will be available to parents and teenagers. The Myrtle Beach golf course / summer camp includes a full snack bar, mesquite grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, and a pro shop with supplies for all activities including logoed hats and T-shirts.
Diamondback Adventure Camp is a first for the Myrtle Beach vacation destination and adds a huge new element to the Sands Resorts vacation experience. For the past three years, the long established resort company has been reinventing itself to offer a full vacation experience; first with construction of a full water park at Sand Dunes Resort & Spa, then Hall of Heroes tribute at Ocean Dunes Resort & Villas and finally a weekly fireworks show at the famous Ocean Annie's located within Sands Ocean Club Resort. In 2010, there was the addition of magic shows by Illusionist Carl Skenes and an inflatables playground at Ocean Dunes. These amenities are all included free to Sands' guests.
Rawcliffe believes this concept has timely appeal to many families seeking affordable packaged vacations. "This economy has us all paying attention to value and affordability in ways we didn't five years ago," says Rawcliffe. "It's a direction Sands Resorts intends to continue --- Stay tuned for more opportunities to have fun in the sun.'
