The solar company has experienced solid growth in the solar market in North Carolina, installing over 600 residential and commercial projects. It brings experience in various innovative programs like Solarize, for which it has been a designated installer for seven programs. South Carolina solar is exploding due to the 25% state tax credit for renewable energy plus attractive incentives from utility companies. Combined with the 30% federal tax credit, it has made South Carolina a good place for solar, and for solar companies. Ironically, North Carolina legislature let the state's 35% tax credit expire December 31, 2015, which was one of the considerations in the expansion plans for Yes Solar. The new location will consist of some of the experienced employees from N.C., and the rest of the team will consist of new jobs.
