CRANBURY, N.J., Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- PLAYMOBIL^®, a leading toy manufacturer of classic children's playsets and figures for more than 35 years, has launched a new "Battle of the PLAYMOBIL PopStars!" contest to introduce fans to the latest PLAYMOBIL theme and give them a chance to win PLAYMOBIL prizes. The contest, running on Facebook now through November 15, will ask fans to vote for their favorite PopStars! band, give the band a rockin' name and have a chance to win prizes including PLAYMOBIL PopStars! product and PLAYMOBIL shopping sprees.

"Our PopStars! playsets let fans take open-ended imaginative play to the next level with the combination of traditional play, tech and a rock 'n roll theme," said John Skrajewski, Vice President, Sales and Marketing. The PopStars! theme includes a PopStars! Stage that features four figures and an MP3-connector, encouraging kids to select their favorite tunes and put on a live rockin' show that expresses their individual creativity. In addition, the line includes a PopStars! Band, PopStars! Tour Bus and PopStars! Keyboarder.

To enter, fans can visit popstars.playmobil.com. The contest page will feature photos of two PLAYMOBIL bands. Fans will be asked to choose their favorite and give that band an applause-worthy name. PLAYMOBIL will select two grand-prize winners with the best band names, with each winner receiving a $500 shopping spree on www.playmobil.us. Two second place winners will each receive a $100 PLAYMOBIL shopping spree. In addition, 10 third prize winners will be awarded the full PopStars! line. PLAYMOBIL will also randomly select 100 daily winners through the end of the contest to receive a PLAYMOBIL mystery Figure.
