NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Namely, the leading HR platform for mid-sized companies, today announced that Lorna Hagen will join as the company's Chief People Officer.
Hagen brings a passion for employee experience and data-driven strategy to her new role, along with nearly twenty years of HR experience. Prior to Namely, Hagen was the CPO at OnDeck (ONDK) where she was responsible for all aspects of HR and talent management. Hagen helped the company scale from successful IPO through international expansion, all while driving recognition as a top company to work for. She also held leadership roles at LOFT, Dow Jones, and HarperCollins.
"As an HR company, we strive to provide the very best experience for our employees, and we are delighted to welcome Lorna as Chief People Officer," says Elisa Steele, Namely's CEO. "Lorna joins Namely just as we've passed the 600-employee mark. I am confident she will leverage her tremendous expertise in this phase of growth, driving our commitment to being a wonderful place to work and setting the standard for best-practice HR across the midsized companies we serve."
"The social contract between employer and employee has fundamentally changed in this fourth industrial revolution, and HR technology is the lynchpin bridging the needs of both. I am joining as CPO, because I believe Namely empowers companies to succeed in their relationship with employees—which ultimately leads to successful business outcomes" adds Hagen. "Employees today have so many choices, and HR must remain nimble and adapt quickly. I look forward to fostering a workplace at Namely that supports this mission, which is critical to the company's own path, as well as that of our larger HR community."
Hagen will lead Namely's People Operations team and given the importance of the CPO role, she will report directly to Steele. Hagen will continue to actively participate as an industry thought leader, representing her perspective on the future of work at industry conferences, including Human Resource Executive's Benefits and Leadership Conference and Namely's own HR Redefined.
