NAMI Announces Appointment of Nathan Paul Romano to National Board

ARLINGTON, Va., March 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) today announced that Nathan Paul Romano has joined its national board of directors. Romano is a leading mental health advocate, having joined the board of NAMI-NYC in 2006 and now serving as president emeritus.

Romano is co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Collaborative Capital Advisors and previously held senior leadership roles at Atalaya Capital Management, York Capital Management, Goldman Sachs & Co., Credit Suisse, and Bear Stearns.

"Nathan's experience leading complex organizations and advising at the highest levels will be a strong asset to the national board," said Jeff Fladen, president of the NAMI board of directors. "His governance perspective and commitment to the Alliance will help guide NAMI's long-term growth and stewardship."

Romano is also non-executive chairman of Evio, a mental health and wellness-focused venture firm, and serves on several nonprofit and advisory boards, including Squire Patton Boggs, the University of Southern California's men's tennis program, The Goodness Web, and the Compassionate Leadership in Finance program. He has formerly served on the boards of the Investment Management Division of UJA, the Managed Funds Association, and the Museum of the City of New York.

Romano earned his MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree in finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California where he was a walk-on for the men's tennis team. He resides in Westchester, New York, with his wife and three children.
