NAPA to Present at 2017 AACD Perioperative Leadership Summit
MELVILLE, N.Y., Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) announced today that clinical leader and Chief of Anesthesia, Salvatore Vitale, MD, will be a featured speaker at the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (AACD) Perioperative Leadership Summit 2017. Dr. Vitale will be presenting to perioperative administration leaders on the topic, "Normal Accidents and Black Swans: A (Partial) Lexicon for Process Improvement Programs" on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:30am. The event will be held at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort - Paradise Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Dr. Vitale, an AACD board member, stated, "In this value-based era, the concept of process improvement and its methodologies are key for the future of healthcare. Dr. Vitale is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and is certified by the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists in perioperative echocardiography. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, TX. Dr. Vitale fulfilled his anesthesiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Anesthesiologists, New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, American Medical Association and International Anesthesia Research Society. In addition, Dr. Vitale is a Past President of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists.
