Napoli Shkolnik PLLC Appointed to Leadership Role in the Flint Water Crisis Litigation
NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Napoli Shkolnik PLLC is proud to announce that Partner Hunter J. Shkolnik was named Co-Liaison Counsel in the Flint Water Crisis Litigation by United Stated District Judge Judith E. Levy of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
In this role, Mr. Shkolnik will oversee all currently pending individual personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death cases, as well as the over 18,000 potential cases awaiting to be filed in this mass action arising out of the water contamination in Flint.
The decision comes just over three years after the water crisis in Flint began. The lawsuits allege that Flint residents suffered ruinous damages to their health and property when Defendants recommended, approved, and caused Flint's water supply to become contaminated with corrosive lead and bacteria. Napoli Shkolnik has been involved in this lawsuit from the beginning and has played a leading role in organizing, prosecuting, and coordinating the actions.
As Co-Liaison Counsel, Mr. Shkolnik will continue to investigate and develop the claims in this case by overseeing the coordination, preparation, and presentation of the necessary legal documentation.
