Radical Acceptance – Getting to the Root of the Problem: Will be the morning interactive presentation on Radical Acceptance in DBT Therapy, Radical Acceptance in 12-step, and REBT teaching clients to use their pre-frontal Cortex to have insight, hind sight and foresight, and recognizing the 10 most common irrational beliefs through mindful awareness. The latest scientific research on SPECT imaging and medication for co-occurring disorders using case examples, open questioning and interactive demonstrations.
Supporting Friends and Families with Bipolar Disorder will be the afternoon workshop that will give hands-on information about living successfully with someone with Bipolar Disorder. Topics will include being an advocate not an enabler, boundaries, medication and achieving balance in the family with Bipolar Disorder. There will be a book signing after the presentation.
Debra speaks around the U.S. on the topic Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder with Substance Abuse, and the full life of recovery that you can have with these disorders. She teaches, works and lives the Dialectical Behavioral principles, while operating The Meehl Foundation and The Meehl House.
