NATEL EMS Appoints New Engineering Manager of Agave Facility

CHATSWORTH, Calif., May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Heber Romero has been recruited as the Engineering Manager for the NATEL EMS facility in Juarez, Mexico.

The Agave Plant, NATEL EMS' Center of Excellence for PCBA and System Assembly, also handles NPI, depot repair, and distribution. Customers range from medical to industrial Fortune 500 companies.

Romero's responsibilities include the plant's industrial, manufacturing and process engineering as well as project administration, new product introductions, quality and customer satisfaction. He reports to Emilio Ramirez, Director of Engineering for Agave and OVO facilities. A native of Mexico, Romero earned his master's degree in business administration from the UACH-Facultad de Contaduria y Administracion and his bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Chihuahua. Highly skilled in serving as a liaison between headquarters and off-site manufacturing, Romero also has a strong background in engineering production quality, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
