NATF Will Host Evening Educational Program at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School

BOSTON, May 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF), a non-profit organization working to increase public awareness of thrombosis and related cardiovascular diseases, will welcome three renowned experts in cardiovascular medicine on Wednesday, May 28, for the NATF Spring educational dinner program.

The program will be held at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  This evening program is a CME accredited course offering a comprehensive multidisciplinary overview of major issues concerning heart attack, stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, and pulmonary embolism.  Expert clinicians, Michelle L. O'Donoghue, MD, MPH; Christian Ruff, MD, MPH; and Gregory Piazza, MD, of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, will provide the most up-to-date information on and approaches to patient care, to an audience of community and hospital-based physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians' assistants, allied health professionals, patients, and caregivers.

Thrombosis affects up to 600,000 Americans each year, yet public awareness of the disease remains low.  The focus of this program will address the gaps in knowledge and understanding of thrombosis and related diseases.
