WASHINGTON, Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As part of its annual planning meeting, the National League of Cities Board of Directors will meet with senior members of the Administration at the White House to discuss priority issues facing cities.

NLC President James Mitchell, councilmember, Charlotte, NC, will lead the delegation in discussing key federal priorities for cities, including transportation, the federal budget, immigration, education, jobs and the economy.
In addition to the White House meeting, the NLC Board of Directors will meet to discuss NLC's federal legislative agenda strategy for the year, to hear an overview on the latest research on the economic outlook for states and localities, and receive updates on the organization's related work.
