National Nosebleed Awareness Week Launches May 25-31, Recognized by Nampons™, AAO-HNSF, ACOP, and Other Leaders in Nosebleed Care

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Nampons™, the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNSF), the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP), and other leaders in nosebleed care are proud to recognize the first-ever National Nosebleed Awareness Week, officially launching May 25–31, 2025. This new national observance is designed to raise awareness about the widespread occurrence of nosebleeds, educate the public on causes and prevention strategies, and promote accurate first-aid practices to reduce unnecessary suffering and emergency room visits.

Each year, more than 65 million Americans experience nosebleeds, yet nearly 90% are unaware of how to treat them properly. This lack of knowledge can worsen symptoms, increase discomfort, and contribute to over $200 million in preventable emergency medical costs annually. Despite being a common occurrence, proper nosebleed management remains poorly understood. National Nosebleed Awareness Week aims to close this knowledge gap and encourage open dialogue about a condition often accompanied by stigma or embarrassment.
