National Park Service Awards Volunteer.gov Contract to Phase One

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Phase One (www.pocg.com) continues to expand its footprint in the Federal market with a recently awarded contract in support of the National Park Service and the Department of the Interior. As the prime contractor, Phase One will use its expertise in Platform as a Service to modernize the Volunteer.gov volunteer management system.

332,000 volunteers currently provide 9.6 million hours of service annually on public lands, across 9 Federal Agencies and multiple state and local agencies.  A modernized volunteer.gov will be instrumental in supporting DOI Secretary Jewell's goal of 1,000,000 annual volunteers on public lands.

In addition to this newest award, Phase One has been recently selected for development work at:

• Department of State. Phase One is developing a Citizen Relationship Management tool that will enable embassies across the globe to share crucial information with one another more quickly.
• United States Capitol Police. Phase One is developing an integrated digital ecosystem as a means to transform current, manual processes and encourage greater efficiency.
• Amtrak. Phase One is developing a tool that decreases the amount of time needed in the terminal yard and increasing performance and efficiencies for both the customer and the operator.
