That night, Bob and Pat were the lead of NBC and ABC Network news, were interviewed on Today and GMA the next morning, were covered in virtually every paper in the country, and Jay Leno made a joke in his monologue (and afterward called Bob to make sure it was OK!). Following Bob's action nearly all witnesses went on the steps to criticize Starr, and Starr's popularity and investigation sank.

The capacity to follow up with letters and calls to finalize contributions -- ability to close the deal -- is an important skill set.
