ITASCA, Ill., April 7, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Safety Council is accepting nominations for the 2016 NSC Rising Stars of Safety Awards. This annual recognition honors 40 individuals younger than 40 that have demonstrated leadership, innovation and engagement in their organization's safety culture while continuing to strive for improvement.
NSC invites organizations to nominate an employee who:
- Displays leadership attributes that set the nominee apart from his or her peers
- Initiates and/or leads a successful safety initiative with measurable results
- Engages peers and transforms the safety culture of the organization
- Values safety as a critical part of business operations
"Each class of Rising Stars has redefined innovation and creativity in the safety world," said Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council. Selected NSC Rising Stars of Safety will be featured in Safety+Health magazine and receive discounted admission to the 2016 NSC Congress & Expo in Anaheim in October. Honorees receive exclusive access to workshops and events that foster networking and collaboration.
Candidates can be nominated online at nsc.org/risingstars by May 13, 2016. Organizations are allowed to nominate multiple candidates, but only one honoree per company can be chosen.
