National Steel City Receives Second Southern Company Triangle Safety Award for Outstanding Safety Construction Performance, an Industrial Info News Alert

Bestowed annually by Southern Company, a major United States utility, The Triangle Safety Award recognizes select contractors who achieve high thresholds of safety construction performance:

• performed 100,000 work hours on Southern Company projects during the year;
• sustained no lost time due to injuries;
• achieved a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) below Southern Company's goal; and
• caused no interruption of Southern Company production and operations as a result of their work.

In 2016, NSC achieved a TRIR of 0, an LTIR (Lost Time Injury Rate) of 0, and a DART (Days Away, Restrictions and Transfers) Rate of zero.
