PHILADELPHIA, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As Wikipedia puts it "Craig Mitnick is an American lawyer". Born in Philadelphia and raised in Southern New Jersey, Mitnick was named as one of the top 100 trial attorneys in the nation by the "National Trial Lawyers". NTL is a professional organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from across the country. Mitnick was nominated earlier this year and recently selected.
Mitnick received his BBA in finance from Emory University (Atlanta, Georgia) in 1984 and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University School of Law in 1987 (Washington DC).
He began his career as an Assistant Prosecutor in Burlington County, NJ, followed by his position as an Assistant Prosecutor in Camden County, NJ. After leaving the public sector, Mitnick entered the private practice of law where he has handled some of highest profile cases in the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia areas. Mitnick was previously contracted as an on-air legal analyst for Fox News Channel, Fox Radio Network, Fox Television Station Group, and CBS. After learning of his nomination and selection, Mitnick said, "I am humbled by the award. It came as a complete surprise".
During the past year and a half, Mitnick has been focusing on his representation of 1200 retired NFL players who are suing the National Football League for "concussion related injuries". The cases are currently pending before the Philadelphia Federal Court in a consolidated mass tort action.
