Nations Named Chief Nursing Executive for HCA Gulf Coast Division

HOUSTON, Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelli Nations, MHA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, has been named HCA Gulf Coast Division's first chief nurse executive, effective September 30, 2016. Nations is responsible for nurse and physician collaboration and service initiatives including patient experience, nursing recruitment and retention, and nursing management development.

Nations has served as a nursing leader with HCA Gulf Coast Division for 12 years, the first six in various prominent roles at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. She has also served as chief nursing officer at large hospital organizations including Conroe Regional Medical Center, Bayshore Medical Center, and Mainland Medical Center.

Nations holds both a bachelor's of science degree in nursing and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Texas Woman's University in Houston, Texas. She is certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Certified Nursing Executive, Advanced. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration with leadership development from Northcentral University.
