NEW YORK, April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bodega Navarro Correas, one of the most historic and renowned of Argentine wine companies, is proud to be the official wine of the Broadway revival of Evita, opening April 5, at the Marquis Theater. The highly anticipated return of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical to New York, is inspired by the life and times of the legendary Argentine first lady, Eva Peron. The production stars the acclaimed Argentine actress Elena Roger, Puerto Rican singing sensation, Ricky Martin, and the dynamic Broadway star Michael Cerveris as Juan Peron.
"We are thrilled to be able to sponsor such a significant musical revival with our wines", said Jessica Callahan, Navarro Correas brand manager. " It's a perfect cultural fit – Navarro Correas is one of the most historic and respected names in Argentine winemaking, Eva Peron is arguably the Argentine personality most familiar to Americans, and the lovely Elena Roger is a tremendous star in her country and abroad – my colleagues in Argentina are delighted!"
Navarro Correas wines will be featured at Opening Night festivities and at signature events throughout the run of the show. The wines and the musical will engage in various co-promotions throughout the New York metro area, wherever fine wines are sold. "Although we expect many festive occasions during the run of Evita, Navarro Correas promotes responsible consumption of our wines in any setting," advocates Callahan.
With a history of supporting the art and culture of South America, Bodega Navarro Correas is located in Godoy Cruz, in Mendoza, Argentina.
