Navy Federal to be One of First Financial Institutions Offering Apple Pay

VIENNA, Va., Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Navy Federal Credit Union announced today that it is one of the first financial institutions to soon be offering a mobile payments option, Apple Pay™ , to its members. Apple Pay transforms mobile payments for an easy, secure, and private way to make purchases. By integrating Apple® designed hardware, software and services, Apple Pay creates a unique and incredibly intuitive experience for iPhone® 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch™ users. The credit union will provide this new mobile payments option at no cost to members when the technology becomes available later this fall.

Apple Pay expands digital servicing for Navy Federal's 5 million members – many of whom are active duty military personnel and their families who rely on mobile technology in their daily lives. The credit union cites this as a major driver for its emphasis on digital service channels.
