With this release, customers will have even more tools at their disposal to fight crime, as well as enhancements to the already proven crime-reducing functionality.

NC4 Street Smart extends Microsoft SharePoint 2013 to become a daily use, crime-fighting application that arms police officers with critical, real-time crime data while patrolling the streets. Leveraging SharePoint's collaboration capabilities, NC4 Street Smart creates the ability to quickly share crime-related information enabling officers to combat crime faster by visualizing data points on maps, and aggregating and sharing relevant information through situation-based bulletins and secure blogs. GIS leader Esri supplies the underlying mapping technology that allows for the easy display of all the crime data in intuitive map-based views.  Microsoft's platform allows NC4 Street Smart to quickly and easily surface historical crime data alongside real-time intelligence allowing crimes to be solved faster.  The visual tools, including mapping, enable officers to see in real-time, a breakdown of crimes and their locations as they are happening via a live operational map. • Full API allows partners to extend the solution to other platforms – NC4 Street Smart 2.0 was built using standard web technologies such as JSON while being integrated with SharePoint. This allows our partners to extend the application without requiring partners to learn a new technology platform.
• Provides the opportunity for integration partners to leverage feeds, training and support – NC4 Street Smart 2.0 is designed to allow our partners to add data from a myriad of sources. Our database schema was architected with input from industry experts to be a full operational data store that provides partners opportunities in advance reporting, data warehousing, and OLAP cubes.
• Allows for localization by international partners - the interface is configurable which allows it to be readily usable for a wide range of languages and cultures.
