NCTA Appoints WorkSmart CEO to Board of Directors

DURHAM, N.C., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- WorkSmart, a leading provider of Information Technology services in North Carolina, announced today the recent appointment of its President and CEO, Ron Unger, to the NC Technology Association's Board of Directors.

Ron Unger brings a wealth of business acumen to NCTA's Board of Directors.  In addition to founding WorkSmart in 2000 while studying for his MBA at UNC – Chapel Hill, Unger serves as a Board Director for three for-profit, mid-sized corporations based in Alaska and Washington, DC.  He also serves as a Board Director for the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Durham Public School's Business Advisory Council.  

Unger continues to lead WorkSmart towards becoming the largest managed service provider in North Carolina.  In the last 12 months, he successfully led the purchases of Carolina Technology Solutions and Technology Integration Experts, growing WorkSmart's Charlotte operations by a factor of four.
