Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Inc. Names Kristin Faust as New President
CHICAGO, Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Kristin Faust has been appointed President of Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, Inc. (NHS), the organization's Board of Directors announced today. Ms. Faust was selected from a national pool of highly qualified candidates and joins NHS with more than 25 years of experience in community development finance serving the private, public, and non-profit sectors. She will begin her role in October.
Ms. Faust had previously served as Director of Lending & Network Services at Partners for the Common Good, based in Washington D.C. Before her time in DC, Ms. Faust served as president of the Enterprise Community Loan Fund. As Chief Deputy Treasurer for California State Treasurer Philip Angelides, she led efforts regarding statewide Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions. Prior to working on either coast, Ms. Faust spent fifteen years in community development banking in Chicago, progressively rising to the executive level as Senior Vice President for Community Development at LaSalle Bank.

Ms. Faust's previous work in Chicago earned her a number of accolades, including - Crain's Chicago Business Forty Under 40, Leadership Greater Chicago – Class of 1993, and Mayor's Fellow (City of Chicago). She is a current Board Member of NeighborWorks Capital, Neighborhood Lending Services and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development's Loan Committee.
