NeoLAB Signs Cross-license Agreement with Anoto
NeoLAB and Anoto agree to form a constructive relationship to expand global market for pattern and digital pen business
SEOUL, Korea, April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NeoLAB Convergence Inc.(NeoLAB), developer of the award-winning Neo smartpen N2, today announced that NeoLAB and Anoto Group AB (Anoto) have agreed to put an end to patent infringement litigation against each other and to sign a patent cross-license agreement as of April 12, 2017, to establish mutually beneficial strategic relationship which would lead to growth in digital pen industry.
NeoLAB and Anoto will work together to foster industrial development, and under the terms of cross-license agreement, both parties are able to access each other's relative patent portfolios, and thus, able to concentrate on delivering better products and services to the market.
The emerging education technology and smart classroom markets are expected to grow worldwide, and schools and other educational settings are actively integrating technologies into their classrooms. Especially the countries of East Asia are developing infrastructure regarding smart classrooms under Government's education strategies, and NeoLAB has built strategic alliances with experienced partners in education for years, to be involved in pilot programs for schools.
