The company's NeoNova Cares program remains active throughout the year supporting the local community

RALEIGH, N.C., Dec. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Philanthropic need in North Carolina does not have just one season for NeoNova.

An authorized premier reseller of the Google Apps™ suite of communication tools, NeoNova brokers cloud applications and services for rural and regional ISPs and thousands of small businesses nationwide. The company has seen record year-over-year growth for the past two years, doubling its employee base during that timeframe.

But, NeoNova's success this year and years past also is due to the company's mission to be a good corporate citizen, noting that technology is an essential resource for many of the communities that NeoNova's customers serve.

"At NeoNova, servanthood, being of service to others, is at the heart of our business culture every single day," said NeoNova CEO Ray Carey. "We have developed a reservoir of goodwill through NeoNova Cares that provides meaningful assistance to those in the community who need it the most all year long."

Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center

NeoNova has been a regular supporter of the Duke Children's Hospital and Health Center since August, providing homemade meals to the families of children in the pediatric bone marrow transplant unit the first Monday of every month. Last month, Velocity, NeoNova's customer help desk team, raised $1,000 on behalf of the family support center at Duke Children's through an online "No-Shave November" promotion, where team members didn't shave for the entire month. Upon reaching the $1,000 mark, several NeoNova managers committed to shave their heads at the official "Shave Off" scheduled for 3 p.m. EDT today. The event will be broadcast live via Google Hangout.

Habitat for Humanity of Wake County

NeoNova began working with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County in 2011. This year, NeoNova CEO Ray Carey joined with other participating CEOs by rolling up their sleeves and framing a new home for a family in Apex during Habitat for Humanity of Wake County's CEO Build 2013 that began March 13. Throughout the remainder of the year, NeoNova and its employees provided $5,000 in corporate gifts, in-kind services, and employee "sweat equity" during the organization's annual company "Habitat Build" workday on May 10. In September, NeoNova  executives presented Habitat with a check for an additional $2000 through a special employee matching gift campaign.

Kramden Institute

NeoNova participated in the Kramden Institute's Geek-A-Thon in September. A Geek-A-Thon is Kramden Institute's method for streamlining the process of computer refurbishing. While PCs can be refurbished individually, at a Geek-A-Thon, hundreds of PCs are in need of refurbishing and it takes between 150-200 volunteers working in shifts to streamline the process. On top of providing volunteers with the expertise to perform such tasks, NeoNova provided more than $5,000 in corporate gifts and provides in-kind support year-round.

Strategic Philanthropy

NeoNova's integrated philanthropy program of product, time, and equity throughout the entire year remains an integral part of NeoNova's business and partnering strategy. The company also remains committed to donating 1 percent of its employees' time to a non-profit venture of their choice.

NeoNova was ranked in the world's top 100 Cloud Service Providers in 2013. It also moved its corporate headquarters to Raleigh earlier this year and was acquired by The National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) in July.
