New Camp for Kids Grooms Entrepreneurs for America's Fragile Future

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Dec. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Want to solve America's growing unemployment issues? Look no further than summer camp or at least the new Dr. Friday's EnTREPreneurship Camp for Kids (http://www.drfriday.com/kids.htm) that's being launched this June in a number of towns in and about the Nashville, Tenn. area. Called "TREPS" for short, the camp is a new endeavor of the nationally renowned tax expert Dr. Friday (http://www.drfriday.com), who says today's children must become "titans of the new economy."

"America's future is in peril, and it's today's children who will be running the show before we know it," Dr. Friday says. "Empowering them with critical entrepreneurial skills will give them the tools and the personal passion they need to create jobs for themselves someday as well as many other Americans. With a focus on the "Four Cs" - Curiosity, Courage, Confidence and Consistency - the TREPS camp makes kids feel grown up and inspires them to embrace exciting challenges. Throughout the one-week program, kids ages 8-14 will collaborate, make presentations, think creatively, and learn to support one another while taking risks, working hard and having loads of fun doing so. The fast-paced, engaging classes cover product development, finance, marketing, advertising and sales. Then the week culminates with the TREPS Kids Marketplace, which is where they learn all about money, pricing, marketing and salesmanship.
