New Devotional Guides Readers Through 28 Days of the Apostle Paul's Prayers

In "Deeper Prayer," author Gary P. Rohrmayer examines Paul's prayers in chronological order to help readers develop a deeper prayer life.

CHICAGO, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Prayer is central to Christian faith and ministry, and many believers seek ways to strengthen their prayer lives. In Deeper Prayer: A Chronological Journey Through the Depths of Paul Prayers That Will Deepen Your Prayer Life, author and ministry leader Gary P. Rohrmayer offers a 28-day devotional exploring the Apostle Paul's prayers and the lessons they offer for contemporary Christian life.

The book follows Paul's missionary journeys, from beginning to end, and examines the prayers found in his letters to churches and individuals. Each daily devotional focuses on a particular prayer theme, including thankfulness, perseverance, spiritual growth, unity, hope, reconciliation and worship. Scripture readings and reflections help readers consider the context of Paul's prayers and their relevance to personal faith and ministry.

"After 38 years of frontlines ministry I have learned about the power of a deeper prayer life. The spiritual formation of one's soul is the key to a lasting legacy and living a spiritually significant life," Rohrmayer writes.

In addition to the 28 devotionals, the book includes special chapters examining the nature of Paul's prayer requests, along with an appendix containing resources and tools for using the material in a church-wide or denominational prayer initiative. The format is intended for individual reading as well as group study.

Readers seeking to strengthen their prayer lives may relate to the questions and challenges explored in Paul's prayers, including how to remain thankful, persevere through difficulties, grow spiritually and maintain hope. By connecting Scripture with everyday experiences of faith, "Deeper Prayer" offers readers an opportunity to reflect on their own relationship with God and develop a more intentional approach to prayer.
