
New England Governors Meet in Washington, DC
WASHINGTON, Feb. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- New England Governors met today in Washington, DC as the New England Governors' Conference, Inc. (NEGC) to discuss regional; approaches to economic development. The Governors also addressed energy, transportation, shipping and other issues.
Governor Deval L. Patrick of Massachusetts was elected 2011 Chair of the NEGC, and Governor Peter Shumlin was elected to Chair the NEGC in 2012.
The New England Governors' Conference, Inc. was formed in 1937 to promote economic development and policy coordination in the six New England states. The NEGC is recognized as a leader in regional policy development.
