New FDA Approved Filler Restylane Silk Available at Dr. Anne White's Cosmetic Surgery practice Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center in Winston Salem
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Feb. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for Valentine's Day, Dr. Anne White recently completed specialized training in the use of Restylane Silk, which is now available at her Winston Salem practice. Dr. White attended training hosted by Galderma, an Aesthetic Dermatology company that makes many of the leading injectables including Restylane and Perlane. Dr. White is one of the first Cosmetic Surgeons in North Carolina trained to use what has been called "lipstick in a syringe" because of the beautiful, natural, pearlescent lips it creates.
'I'm excited to offer this revolutionary new product to my patients in the Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point and Triad area," Dr. White says. Restylane Silk has been used for 16 years by Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists in Canada with excellent results. It is now approved by the FDA for use in the United States to give lips a more luscious appearance and minimize vertical lipstick lines and wrinkles around the mouth.
Restylane Silk is a soft tissue filler that is injected under the thin membrane of the lip. It is premixed with the anesthetic xylocaine so the patients are quite comfortable during the procedure. The comfort level of the patients is one of the most impressive things about Restylane Silk.
According to Galderma, Restylane Silk is made of smaller particles than the other fillers in the Restylane Family, which has been used to treat facial wrinkles and folds for years. "I have found that the smaller particles make Restylane Silk easier to inject, better suited for the delicate lip area, and results in less swelling after the treatment."
Dr. White says she's excited to be able to add this tool to the wide array of non-surgical, no downtime and minimal downtime procedures she currently offers. She frequently combines injectable fillers with Botox or Dysport to give her patients full facial rejuvenation. The results are natural, she says, and quite remarkable.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, soft tissue fillers have become one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the United States. More than 2 million treatments are performed each year.
"At Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center we are dedicated to providing the very latest safe, effective, high-tech, non-invasive and minimally Cosmetic Surgery and Laser procedures," Dr. White says.
