New Foundation Launches With Sole Mission to Rescue Dogs in Natural Disasters

WINTHROP, Mass., July 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- I Love My Dog So Much LLC, an online group of the most active and committed pet owners on the web, announces the launch of the I Love My Dog So Much Foundation. While many organizations are multi-faceted, the I Love My Dog So Much Foundation's sole purpose is to feed, shelter, foster, transport, vaccinate and in general, care for dogs that are affected by natural disasters.  Leveraging a community of close to 6 million highly engaged dog owners and dog lovers, I Love My Dog So Much Foundation will support animal rescue efforts in post environment disasters – such as floods, hurricanes and tornados – when these precious animals need it the most.

Following their rescue efforts in the 2016 floods in Southwest Louisiana and Hurricanes Harvey and Maria in 2017, the I Love My Dog So Much team recognized the crucial need for a channel to not only rapidly distribute funds and provide much-needed, essential aid but also prepare for future disasters.  In addition to providing food, antibiotics, crates and other supplies, funds raised have gone towards placing displaced dogs with adoptive families, evacuating these helpless animals from hurricane ravaged islands and creating new, forever homes.  

Future activities will be conducted by Foundation members and volunteers though the Foundation will also offer donations to other dog/animal-centric non-profits who are already spearheading local and regional efforts to rescue animals.
