New Managed Security Information and Event Management Service from Sungard AS Helps Close the Gap between Perceived and Actual Security

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sungard® Availability Services™ (Sungard AS), a leading provider of information availability through managed IT, cloud and recovery services, today announced a new Managed Security Information and Event Management (MSIEM) service to quickly identify emerging security threats and satisfy compliance reporting of a SIEM platform without the headache of installation or additional security staff needed for ongoing maintenance by the customer.
Based on proven McAfee SIEM technology, customers receive meaningful intelligence and rapid data retrieval from appliances and devices across the network, combined with global threat intelligence with proactive detection of new threats. Customers retain control over their security footprint through the Sungard AS customer portal. Security Operations Centers (SOCs), on-demand access to certified security professionals and continuous compliance monitoring – such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) – further improve the overall security posture.
