New Name, Renewed Commitment: Marking Our 25th Anniversary by Proceeding in Partnership
WAYNE, Pa., Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Security On Campus, Inc., the nation's leading nonprofit campus safety advocacy organization, has changed its name to the Clery Center for Security On Campus ("Clery Center").
In honor of its new name and to celebrate the organization's 25th anniversary, the Clery Center will host Proceeding In Partnership from Oct. 4-5, 2012. The conference will take place at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. Participants are invited to join the Center's staff, board, and special guests on the evening of Oct. 4 for a reception celebrating 25 years of promoting safer campus communities nationwide.
"We are thrilled to celebrate the work of our co-founders, Connie and Howard Clery, and the history of the organization," said Alison Kiss, Executive Director of the Clery Center. "Our Proceeding in Partnership conference represents the evolution of the Clery Center and we are honored that leaders in higher education will be joining us to recognize our 25 years of history while laying the groundwork for future collaboration among the campus safety community."
The Clery Center will present the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Award to officers Allison Jacobs and Lisa Campbell, who were instrumental in the capture and arrest of Phillip Garrido in relation to the kidnapping of Jaycee Dugard.
In addition to her role as an award recipient, Officer Jacobs will also serve as the event's keynote speaker.
