New Orion App Revolutionizes Client Reports

OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Orion Advisor Services, LLC ("Orion"), a premier portfolio accounting service bureau, announces the release of a new web-based app, Orion Engage, which helps advisors communicate more effectively with clients by creating interactive videos that can present portfolio performance and other unique details specific to individual clients.

Advisors using the patent-pending Engage app can record and upload their own videos, or utilize the full suite of production services available from Blu Giant Advisor Services, a division of Orion's parent company, NorthStar Financial Services Group, LLC. Once a video has been uploaded, the Engage app can be deployed from desktop and mobile devices to insert personalized client data including portfolio valuation, performance, benchmark returns, and additional integrated client specific data elements from other systems. Orion's Engage app creates a statement experience that goes well beyond simple digital replication of a traditional paper statement. Engage is a reimagining of how advisors can better communicate with their clients. Each client who views a video produced through Engage receives dynamically-generated information specific to their accounts; videos can also contain interactive elements and data can be pulled in from other sources to further enrich the experience.

Through Engage's integration with other advisor-focused software systems, advisors can add customized calls to action throughout videos. For example, advisors can access MoneyGuidePro from Engage to include personalized client goals in each video and link portfolio and market performance with goal progress. In addition, Engage users can access Redtail or another leading CRM software to offer clients the chance to arrange meeting times during or after viewing their videos. Advisors can also choose how frequently they wish to distribute client video reports using Engage.
