"Pests are always a problem, and if not properly treated, they can wreck havoc on the inside and outside of Miami homes," said Bruce Harned, director of marketing at GreenFiber. "Now, homeowners can purchase and install a solution to proactively protect homes against pests before problems arise. It's truly a high-performance home investment in safety and efficiency."

Treated with a long-lasting pest control formula, the environmentally friendly insulation is EPA-registered* and helps protect against cockroaches, termites, ants and many others for defense against more than 10 species of intrusive pests. While it's recommended for use in attics, a common entry point in homes for pests, OrkinTherm also can be used in walls.

Additionally, OrkinTherm delivers top-notch energy-efficient and sustainable benefits from GreenFiber's insulation; it's made from 85 percent recycled paper fibers and is certified by Energy Star and Scientific Certification Systems as efficient. The no-itch material is fire-safe and is specially treated to be flame resistant. Plus, normal moisture or humidity does not affect its performance, and homeowners can expect to save up to 20 percent of home energy consumption**.

Homeowners looking to install this product can visit the insulation aisle at select The Home Depot stores across Florida beginning in September, 2012. Free machine rentals with a minimum bag purchase or installation assistance are available. Detailed videos and other information, featuring how-to install simulations, store availability and specifics on the product itself, can all be found on OrkinTherm's website at www.orkintherm.com.
