New Platform, MACRA MadeEasy, Simplifies CMS Quality Payment Program Compliance for Anesthesia Practices

In 2015, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) legislation was overwhelmingly approved by Congress. It transforms the way Medicare Part B payments are calculated. MACRA also repealed and replaced several older programs, including the Sustainable Growth Rate formula and the Physician Quality Reporting System. The first performance period began in January 2017 and directly impacts 2019 reimbursements for virtually all anesthesia physicians and nurse anesthetists who see over 100 Medicare patients and bill for over $30,000 in Part B services.
