New Research: Family Office Portfolio Performance More Than Doubles From Previous 12 Months - Get Your Copy Of The Report
BOSTON, Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Campden Wealth, in conjunction with UBS, is proud to announce the North American launch of the fifth annual, Global Family Office Report 2018, in Boston on November 27th. We surveyed 311 family office principals and executives, averaging an $808M AUM (in USD).
What are some of the key findings we uncovered?
- 121% increase in family office investment performance – up to returns averaging 15.5%
- Private equity tops portfolio allocations at 22%, up 4 percentage points from last year
- Roughly two in five family offices invest in sustainable ventures and deals, while nearly half of the surveyed offices look to increase their sustainable allocations in the next 12 months
What do these stats mean for multigenerational families?
Families continue to allocate more to equities (up to 28%) and real estate direct investments (up to 17%), while simultaneously decreasing allotments to areas like hedge, compared to the previous year's report. UHNW families expressed concern over hedge fund returns which explains some of this divestment, especially while other allocations have provided excellent results.

The rise of impact investments
Roughly one-third of families are currently investing in impactful ventures, while half plan on increasing their focus in this area over the next 12 months.
