New Sam's Club Adds Value in Edmond

EDMOND, Okla., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Residents of Edmond and surrounding communities will have the opportunity to see their new Sam's Club when it opens following an 8 a.m. Grand Opening ceremony Thursday, Oct. 3, at 1117 West I-35 Frontage Road in Edmond. The club will provide members with numerous services and incredible savings on quality merchandise.

Local dignitaries and celebrities will be in attendance when the new Edmond Sam's Club opens on Thursday, along with the 130 new Sam's Club associates hired to assist members in the new club. Edmond Mayor Charles Lamb will speak at the Grand Opening ceremony, former University of Oklahoma quarterback Jason White will sign autographs from 1-3 p.m., and former Sooner running back Billy Sims will sign autographs on Friday from 1-3 p.m. Both White and Sims won the Heisman Trophy during their collegiate careers at Oklahoma.

"There is a lot of excitement about Sam's Club coming to Edmond," Lamb said. "I am often asked about Sam's Club and when it is going to open. We're glad that day is here, and we expect it to be a very busy place."

Layout, Bright Atmosphere, Expansive Selections Await Members
The new Sam's Club features a shopper-friendly interior layout and measures approximately 136,000 square feet.

LED lighting throughout the club, including in the cooler and freezer box doors and jewelry counter, operates 70 percent more efficiently than traditional fluorescent lighting.

Pharmacy and Hearing Center Among Amenities
The Edmond club will have a full-service pharmacy where members and the public can take advantage of great savings on medications they use every day.

The Sam's Club Pharmacy is open to members and the public, featuring $4 and $10 generic prescriptions and extraordinary savings on branded prescriptions.
