New Semester of September 2018 to Start at Incheon Global Campus (IGC), the Best Global Education Hub in Northeast Asia
SONGDO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, South Korea, June 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Incheon Global Campus (IGC) located in Songdo has the vision of creating the 'Best Global Education Hub in Northeast Asia' as Korea's first shared campus of foreign prestigious universities. It is a national project by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Education, and Incheon City Government. The goal is to attract 10 foreign universities ranked among the top 100 in the world rankings. The campus is being built with ultra-modern facilities that allow about 10,000 students to study.

The first university to be entered in this Korea's first joint campus was the State University of New York in March 2012, and George Mason University in March 2014, Ghent University and the University of Utah in September 2014, and the FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) of the State University of New York opened in September last year.
The students are not only Korean but also students from various countries all over the world. The campus has about 2,000 students from more than 40 countries. From January of last year, IGC has produced graduates while the IGC college's high-level educational curriculum has been continuing to be visible. These first graduates were recognized for their competitiveness by being successful in entering domestic and foreign graduate schools, law schools, companies such as LG Electronics, Facebook Singapore, a semiconductor company and KPMG, a multinational corporation, and so on.
The foreign universities of IGC confer the same degree as the home campus when the students graduate from the extended campus, and they will have the opportunity to study at home campuses in the US and Europe. IGC's strengths are its internship experience and various club activities. Universities voluntarily conduct festivals and events. Sports tournaments jointly organized by universities, as well as joint festivals held in October, are only possible on this shared campus.
The focus of IGC Foundation, is to raise the satisfaction level of the campus community, which is a family, as a priority strategy.
