New Silpada Foundation Necklace to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Year-Round

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Silpada Designs joins forces with Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) and Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support (Willow) to kick off a year-long sale of the special edition Bravery Necklace ($39). For every necklace sold, Silpada is proud to donate $10 on behalf of the Silpada Foundation to LBBC and Willow in support of their efforts to assist women at all stages of breast cancer.

Established in 2011, the Foundation was created as an extension of Silpada's mission to empower women in their personal quests for success, and in their desire to look and feel their very best.

The Bravery Necklace ($39)
Boasting a pink-hued quartzite gem and freshwater pearl strung alongside an engraved sterling silver charm, the Bravery Necklace is a complement to the Silpada Foundation's Bravery Bracelet ($16), which was released in 2013 (and is still available in limited quantities). For every Bravery Necklace purchased in the United States, $10 will be donated to LBBC, which connects people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support. For every Bravery Necklace purchased in Canada, $10 will be donated to Willow, a Canadian not-for-profit that provides free-of-cost support, insight and resources to those affected by breast or hereditary cancer.

Since 2011, the Silpada Foundation has raised nearly $380,000 to support breast cancer awareness. And, while Silpada always recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, proceeds from the Bravery Necklace and Bravery Bracelet will now support LBBC and Willow year-round.
