PETERSBURG, Fla., March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- A new study from 3D Cloud, in partnership with Provoke Insights, highlights the growing impact of 3D planning and visualization tools on kitchen and bath remodeling. The 3D Cloud Kitchen & Bath Planning Trends Study, 2025 reveals that homeowners and remodelers who use 3D technology experience higher satisfaction, reduced stress, and greater confidence in their decision-making.
Homeowners use 3D planners online as self-service tools and in stores with design experts. Nearly half of users accessed a planner online through a retailer website, while 45% used one in-store with a designer.
Over half of kitchen and bath remodelers used a 3D planner to guide their project, especially those with midrange budgets, younger age groups, and those renovating both kitchen and bath spaces.
3D kitchen and bath planners are trusted decision-making tools. 87% of those who used a 3D planner said it helped them to make final purchase decisions. The planner played a key role in boosting confidence and clarity throughout the planning process.
With remodeling projects being both personal and complex, homeowners are looking for ways to ensure they make the right choices. The research found that more than half of remodelers (54%) used a 3D planner, and of those, 87% found it extremely or very helpful in finalizing purchase decisions. Additionally, 76% agreed that 3D visualization is key to ensuring satisfaction, while 80% said it reduces the stress of making remodeling decisions. Even among those who had not yet used a 3D planner, the demand is evident—54% expressed strong interest in trying one.

About the Survey 3D Cloud commissioned Provoke Insights, an independent market research firm, to conduct an online survey among 400 consumers who have undergone a kitchen or bathroom remodel or installation in the past twelve months. The sample was designed to align with U.S. Census demographics, including geography, age, gender, ethnicity, and household income. The survey was distributed in November 2024. Statistical differences between subgroups were analyzed at a 95% confidence level, with a margin of error of ±4.89 percentage points.
