Through the partnership, the association's schools will be able to purchase select CTB products and customized professional development services.

"Access to CTB/McGraw-Hill's high-quality assessment tools is a huge benefit for our service member schools," said Bill Phillips, president of the New York Charter Schools Association, which serves the majority of New York's charter schools and is the leading advocate for high-performing charter schools across the state. LAS Links is now available in an online format as well.
  • Writing Roadmap™, an online essay scoring tool available for grades 3–12, college and adult learning that provides continual practice and automatic feedback. Writing Roadmap's easy-to-use interface and instructional tools motivate and guide students through each step of the writing process.
  • Fox in a Box®, an early literacy tool that enables educators to gain diagnostic information through one-on-one interviews that help identify struggling readers and their learning needs. It also monitors each child's progress on literacy benchmarks.

"We are proud to partner with the New York Charter Schools Association and its impressive membership," said Ellen Haley, president of CTB/McGraw-Hill. "We are looking forward to working with some of New York's finest charter schools, providing them with assessment solutions and services that will ultimately improve teacher instruction and student achievement."

The collaboration will help the association's schools to effectively use data generated from student assessments to personalize their instruction to meet each student's learning needs.
